Public Meeting on Upcoming Beach Nourishment Project Coastal & Maritime Services, the engineering company assisting Dare County with the beach nourishment project, Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company, and Kill Devil Hills representatives. A public informational meeting on the upcoming beach nourishment project held in the meeting room at Kill Devil Hills Town Hall. The meeting, the beach nourishment contractor made a brief presentation, followed by a question and answer segment. The presentation gives an overview of safety, the beach nourishment contractor’s personnel, equipment, and work sequence, and addresses specific concerns and project details within the Town.

As part of Phase 2 of the Kill Devil Hills Public Works improvement project, the Town has invested in a fuel island for fleet vehicles. Over time, the fuel island will save the Town and taxpayers money by enabling the Town to purchase fuel at bulk rates.
